We personalize our language program to match the proficiency levels in English and French for all ages. All descriptions pertain to both reading and writing for each language being learned.

Beginner Proficiency

Focusing on helping students with no practical proficiency in the language. We will help students learn to read some personal places and names, street signs, numbers and isolated words and phrases.

No experience: An example of a student in this group is someone who is interested in learning the language but does not know where to start. We provide both the starting point and a plan to ensure progress.
Elementary experience: An example of a student in this group is someone who is able to satisfy routine travel needs and minimum courtesy requirements. We build on the vocabulary through worksheets and assignments.

Medium Proficiency

Focusing on helping students who are able to read simple prose in a form equivalent to typescript or printing on subjects within a familiar context.

Limited working: An example of a student in this group is someone who can satisfy routine social demands and limited work requirements. We help these students by expanding their foreign vocabulary without thinking in their native language first.
Minimum professional: An example of a student in this group is someone who can speak with sufficient structural vocabulary and accuracy to participate effectively in most formal/informal conversations, engaging in practical, social, and professional discussions. We help students develop their skills in order to engage in political debates and discuss current events.

Intermediate Proficiency

Focusing on helping students who are able to read and write fluently on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

Full Professional: An example of a student in this group is someone who can read all styles and forms of the languages pertinent to professional needs. We help the student progress to an educated native speaker of the language.
